5.5" Fossil Sycamore (Platanus) Leaf - Green River Formation
This is a very nice, 5.5" long (including stem) fossil Sycamore (Platanus wyomingensis) from the Green River Formation of Utah. It's located on a nice solid 12x9.9" slab of shale. It's hard to find Sycamore leaves this nice.
It comes the Green River Formation and the area of Uintah County, Utah. This is the same formation that is famous for producing well preserved fish fossils, but a different member and location.
