.5" Fossil Mimosite Leaf with Ant - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a fossil mimosite (Mimosites coloradensis) leaf from the Green River Formation of Utah. It measures .5" long and is located alongside a beautifully detailed ant fossil (family Formicidae). The plate itself measures 2.9 x 2.9".

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant and insect fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
