Two Paleocene Fossil Leaves (Cocculus) - North Dakota
This is a beautiful fossil leaf ("Cocculus" flabella) from the Sentinel Butte Formation of North Dakota. It is finely detailed and the light preservation contrasts well against the dark orangish-brown rock.
The largest leaf is 2.45" wide, with the smallest measuring 1.7" long (not including stem) on a 6.7 x 5.8" slab of rock. It comes with an acrylic display stand.
