2.6" Fossil Insect Plate - Green River Formation, Utah
This is a very nice fossil beetle (order Coleoptera) from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. There is an additional insect on this plate that appears to be a Robber Fly (order Diptera), however the lack of detail makes it difficult comfortably identify.
While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
Comes with an acrylic stand.
