8.6" Fossil Leaf (Macginitiea & Lygodium) Plate - Insect Predation!

This is a 8.6" wide, thick slab of shale containing multiple fossil leaves. The largest is a sycamore (Macginitiea wyomingensis) leaf, preserved alongside a Lygodium kaulfussii leaf; a species of climbing fern. There is an additional, partial leaf which shows insect predation. This specimen was collected from the Green River Formation in Utah.

Comes with an acrylic-metal display stand.

While the Green River Formation is best known for its fish fossils from Wyoming, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.
