5.6" Double-Sided Fossil Leaf (Beringiaphyllum) Plate - Montana
This is a unique double-sided fossil leaf plate from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. It contains a Beringiaphyllum cupanoides leaf impression on each side. The dark orange/brown preservation contrasts well against the shale, and many of the details in the leaves can be seen in good relief. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where pieces of them flaked onto the negative during collection.
This specimen includes an acrylic display stand.
