Rare Enrolled Flexicalymene fayettensis - Iowa

This is a very rarely seen US trilobite, an enrolled Flexicalymene fayettensis from the Maquoketa Formation of Iowa. This formation has never been heavily collected, and complete trilobites are fairly scarce. This roller is a little beauty. The carmel colored shell contrasts nicely with the light colored limestone matrix.
