4.8" Rare, Delphasaphus Trilobite - Russia
This is a rarely seen asaphid trilobite from the St. Petersburg region of Russia, Delphasaphus delphinus. Its about 4.8" long fully outstretched and look like its ready to scurry off the edge of the limestone. The bottom of the rock is cut flat for free-standing aesthetic display.
The trilobite exhibits nice shell preservation and preparation on this rather large piece. About half of the shell on the tail is restored and some small areas throughout the rest of the bug. About 15% total.
