Rare, 1.35" Failleana Trilobite - Wisconsin
This is a very rare, 1.35" Failleana indeterminatus from the Mifflin Formation in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Both the cheeks on the specimen has been restored. According to the collector he's not aware of any of examples of this species found with intact cheeks, which should give you an idea of the rarity of this trilobites. There are fragments of several other trilobites and brachiopods in the surrounding limestone.
