Perfectly Enrolled Stalk Eyed Asaphus Trilobite

Here is a stalked eyed Asaphus kowalewskii trilobite which is perfectly enrolled. This would have taken a very skilled trilobite preparator to extract it from it's limestone tomb. Trilobites enrolled like modern day "pill bug" for defense. It has long stalk eye which would have helped it look above the soft mud of the ocean floor.

There is some minor restoration to the base of one eye stalk and to one patch of shell on the tail. This is typical of almost all Asaphus trilobites from Russia.
