Bumpy 1.7" Hoplolichoides Trilobite From Russia
Here is one of the more ornate types of trilobites from the St. Petersburg region of Russia, Hoplolichoides conicotuberculatus. It's 1.7" long, very 3-dimensionally and has beautiful, bumpy shell preservation.
The right free cheek does appear to be a composite on this specimen (pretty much par for the course on many lichid trilobites out of Russia), and the horns are partially restored but there is almost no other shell restoration.
