Bargain Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) Plate - Morocco

This is a piece of limestone with a pair of fossil brittle stars (Ophiura sp) Kataoua Formation of Morocco. These Ophiura brittle stars are Ordovician in age, or approximately 450 million years. The dark orange coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.

The tips of several of the starfish arms have been restored, hence the bargain price. Comes with a display stand.
