.6" Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) - Morocco

This is a nicely preserved, .6" wide fossil brittle star (Ophiura) from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. It is Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
