.80" Detailed Fossil Crane Fly (Tipula) - France
This is a nicely preserved fossil crane fly of the genus Tipula, collected from an Oligocene-aged shale deposit near Cereste in Southern France. It measures .80" long and shows detailed body, eye, and leg preservation. A sealant has been applied to the rock to bring out the insect detail.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
