7.8" Plate of Fossil Cypress (Taxodium) Fronds - Montana

This is a plate of fossil cypress (Taxodium olrikii) fronds from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. The dark orange/brown preservation contrasts well against the shale, and many of the details in the fronds can be seen in good relief.

This specimen includes an acrylic/metal display stand.
