6.85" Wide Plate with Two Fossil Leaves (Two Species) - Montana

These are two fossil leaves from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. One leaf is of the species Ziziphoides flabellum, and the other is from Davida antiqua. The dark orange/brown preservation contrasts well against the shale, and many of the details in the leaves can be seen in good relief. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where pieces of them flaked onto the negative during collection.

This specimen includes an acrylic display stand.

From smallest to largest:

#5 - Davida antiqua (3.05" long)
#1 - Zizyphoides flabellum (3.3" wide)
