6.85" Wide Plate with Three Fossil Leaves (Two Species) - Montana

These are three fossil leaves (two species) from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. The rock contains two full and one partialCissites rocklandensis leaves (#51), and one Beringiaphyllum cupanoides leaf (#30). The orange/yellow preservation contrasts well against the shale, and many of the details in the leaves can be seen in good relief. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where pieces of them flaked onto the negative during collection.

This specimen includes an acrylic display stand.
