5.0" Fossil Gastropod (Haustator) Cluster - Damery, France
This is a 5.0" wide cluster of five fossil gastropods (Haustator sp.) collected near Bordeaux, France. They are Early Miocene in age (Burdigalian Stage), about 16-20 million years old. The sandstone has been meticulously prepared to expose the shells from the rock. A really beautiful piece!
