.22" Detailed Fossil Fly (Diptera) - Bois d’Asson, France
This is a fossil fly (order Diptera), collected from the Oligocene-aged deposits of Bois d'Asson, France. The fly measures .22" wide and is beautifully detailed. Both halves of the split are present on this specimen, with one half glued to the largest slab of shale.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
