2.35" Oligocene Fossil Codfish (Paleogadus) - Poland
This is a 2.35" long fossil codfish of the species Paleogadus simionescui (Simionescu, 1905) preserved on a slab of stone. It comes out of the nannofossil biozone NP24 of the Krosno Formation Unit near Sobniów, Poland. Beautiful bone preservation on this specimen. There are a couple repaired cracks through the rock/fossil.
Comes with an acrylic display stand.
