.7" Oligocene Fossil Clupeoid Fish (Beksinskiella) - Poland
This is a .7" wide clupeoid fish fossil of the species Beksinskiella longimania (Heckel, 1850) preserved on a slab of stone. It comes out of the nannofossil biozone NP23 of the Tylawa Limestone, located at the Rudawka Rymanowska deposit in the Outer Carpathians of Poland. Beautiful bone preservation on this specimen. There is a repaired crack through the fossil/rock.
