1.85" Oligocene Fossil Percoid Fish (Oligoserranoides) - Poland
This is a 1.85" wide percoid (perch-like) fish fossil of the species Oligoserranoides budensis (Heckel, 1856) preserved on a slab of stone. It comes out of the nannofossil biozone NP23 of the Tylawa Limestone, located at the Rudawka Rymanowska deposit in the Outer Carpathians of Poland. Nice bone preservation on this specimen. There is a repaired crack through the fossil/rock.
