2.1" Early Cambrian Fallotaspis - Tazemmourt, Morocco

This is rare and exceptionally well preserved Fallotaspis bondoni trilobite collected from the Issafen Formation near Tazemmourt, Morocco. I've only seen a handful of examples of this species available for sale over the past couple of years. It bears a strong resemblance to Fallotaspis bondoni (Neltner & Poctey, 1950).

The specimen is 2.1" long and has been fantastically prepared to bring it out in high relief against the surrounding shale. It is located on a large, 9.5 x 5.3" slab of shale. There is some restoration along repaired cracks and the front-right border of its head.
