11.8" Ordovician Starfish & Edrioasteroids Plate
This is a nice slab of Ordovician aged Echinoderms from the Tioririne Formation near Blekus, Morocco. The specimen shows an amazing amount of detail and the natural, orange coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. There are two starfishs of the genus Petraster measuring 2.5" and 1.9" along with four edrioasteroids (Spinadiscus). The entire slab of rock measures 11.1x7.5"
There is one crack repair in the corner of the piece. Comes with a display stand.
