11.8" Multiple Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) Slab - Morocco
This is a slab of limestone with three detailed and brightly colored Ophiura brittle star fossils from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. These Ophiura brittle stars are Ordovician in age, or approximately 450 million years. The dark orange coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. One of the brittle stars is till partially covered by the limestone. It's likely complete and could probably be further exposed
