10.9" Plate with Seven Fossil Leaves (Three Species) - Montana

These are seven fossil leaves from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. The plate consists of two Davidia antiqua leaves, three Cissites rocklandensis leaves, and two leaves of an unidentified species. The dark orange/brown preservation contrasts well against the shale, and many of the details in the leaves can be seen in good relief. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where pieces of them flaked onto the negative during collection.

This specimen includes an acrylic-metal display stand.
