1.8" Fossil Oak Leaf with Crane Fly - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a fossil oak (Quercus petros) leaf from the Green River Formation of Utah. It measures 1.8" long and is located alongside a beautifully detailed crane fly (family Tipulidae) fossil. The plate itself measures 4.1 x 3.1".

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant and insect fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
