1.5" Oligocene Fossil Percoid Fish (Oligoserranoides) - Poland
This is a 1.5" wide percoid (perch-like) fish fossil of the species Oligoserranoides budensis (Heckel, 1856) preserved on a slab of stone. It comes out of the nannofossil biozone NP23 of the Tylawa Limestone, located at the Rudawka Rymanowska deposit in the Outer Carpathians of Poland. Beautiful bone preservation on this specimen.
Comes with an acrylic display stand. There is a repaired crack through the rock/fossil.
