6" Polished Dendritic Opal (Moss Opal) - Australia

This is a cut/polished section of "moss opal" containing small, black dendritic inclusions. It earns its more common name, "dendritic opal" from these small black inclusions. This form of opal comes from the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. It's known to occur near the towns of Kalgoorlie, Leonora and Norseman.

This specimen comes with an acrylic display stand.
