3.5" Heulandite On Datolite With Quartz - Prospect Park, NY
This is a very interesting zeolite plate from the famous Prospect Park locality in Passaic County, New Jersey. There is Heulandite on top of greenish Datolite on top of quartz crystals in a basalt matrix.
Prospect Park has been producing amazing zeolite specimens for over 100 years. Sadly the area is now becoming a housing development, so these amazing pieces will not be collected again.
