10.7" Tabular Hematoid Quartz Specimen - Morocco

This is a very unique specimen of ferruginous or hematite (red) quartz from Tinejdad, Morocco. Many of the crystals on this large specimen display a tabular growth pattern that is very infrequently seen from this locality. The entire specimen is 10.7" long and the largest crystal is over 3" in length. The red coloration is due to hematite or limonite inclusions within the crystals themselves.
