HALITE CRYSTALS FOR SALE

Halite, commonly known as rock salt, is a naturally occurring mineral form of sodium chloride (NaCl). Halite crystals are typically cubic in shape, showcasing the mineral’s perfect cleavage that breaks into distinct right-angled blocks. These crystals form through the evaporation of saline water in arid environments or shallow basins, resulting in deposits that range from small granular formations to extensive salt beds.

Halite can appear in a variety of colors, though pure halite is colorless or white. Impurities and trace minerals contribute to a range of hues, including shades of blue, pink, orange, yellow, and even purple. The blue and purple colors, for instance, are usually due to defects in the crystal lattice or exposure to natural radiation.
