BIRD'S EYE JASPER (ORBICULAR RHYOLITE) FOR SALE

Bird's Eye Jasper is not a true jasper but a type of orbicular rhyolite, a silica-rich extrusive volcanic rock produced in pyroclastic eruptions. As this particular rhyolite was formed, it interacted with other minerals to form brightly colored oval or rounded shapes, often in shades of red, pink, yellow, or purple. They are thought to look like birds' eyes, hence the name.
