Triple Crotalocephalina Trilobite - Natural Sculpture

This is a beautiful display piece with three Crotalocephalina trilobites naturally associated on the same rock. The matrix has been artistically shaped to create a free-standing sculpture to display them. It is truly a natural work of art.

Two of the trilobites are about 3 inches in length and the other one is about 2 1/2. The hypostomes (mouth plates) on the undersides of their heads have even been prepared out. The quality of preparation on all three is very good and they show remarkable detail. A piece like this would have taken dozens of hours to prepare. There is no restoration on any of the trilobites.
