Three Ordovician Brittle Stars (Ophiura) - Morocco

This is a nice association of three, large fossil brittle stars (Ophiura) from the Tiouririne Formation of Morocco. The plate is Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old. Two trilobite heads make an appearance on the plate near two of the brittle stars. The slight orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. This specimen is well prepped and makes an excellent addition to any collection. There is a repaired crack running through this center of the rock.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
