Sweet Cornuproetus Trilobite With Free-Standing Genals

This is a large specimen of the Proetida trilobite Cornuproetus cornutus from the Middle Devonian of Morocco. It displays the diagnostic features of this species including a granulose cephalon and long swept-back genal spines. It has wonderful shell preservation, and is well prepared with the genal spines flying free of the matrix. There is 1-2% shell restoration.
