Rare, 2.2" Trigonocerca Piochensis - Fillmore Formation, Utah
This is probably the best example of this rare species that has been offered for sale. It's a rare Trigonocerca piochensis from the Carolinites Nevadensis Zone of the Fillmore Formation in Utah. It was collected this past spring from one of our newest leases. Only a handful of complete specimens have been recovered from the quarry.
It is 2.2" long which is larger than average for the species. It is a little compressed and distorted but it does have good shell and the cheeks are tightly attached which is unusual.
