Pair Of Undescribed Proetid Trilobites From Jorf

This is a pair of inflated, Proetid trilobites quarried from Jorf, Morocco. As far as I can tell these proetids from Jorf are currently undescribed. The preparation is good, considering how hard the chert-like rock from this location is to prepare. They are certainly not common trilobites, but many of the proetids from Morocco which are found by the dozens. We only found a handful of them in 3 days of digging at the site with several diggers when I dug the site. The shell of the trilobite is translucent so that it takes on the reddish color of the rock below.

There are two specimens on the 5.5x3.3" rock, the larger being 1.35" in length. There is some shell restoration on the tail of one specimen and along the repaired crack through the front of it's body.
