Large Ordovician Ophiura Brittle Star Plate
This is a plate with two well preserved and quite large Ophiura brittle star fossils from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. Each of the brittle stars is over 5" across and would be over 6" if the arms were fully outstretched. The plate is quite solid and 9.6x6". These Ophiura brittle stars are Ordovician in age, or approximately 450 million years.
