Fossil Eugenia Leaf - Green River Formation

This is a fossil leaf from the plant Eugenia americana. It is Eocene in age and comes from the Green River Formation. The dark preservation contrasts well against the lighter shale matrix. There is a repaired crack through the center of the plate.
