2.9" Fossil Insect Cluster & Flora Plate - Green River Formation, Utah
This fossil plate contains a cluster of unidentified insects from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. There is some plant material as well, however the lack of detail on these specimens makes them difficult to accurately identify. One of the insects could possibly be an ant (family Formicidae).
While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
Comes with an acrylic stand.
