Fat Knightia Alta Fish Fossil - Wyoming

This is a beautiful example of the less frequently seen species of Knightia from the Green River Formation, Knightia alta. It is distinguished by being much fatter and also having a smaller tail than the Knightia eocaena. This specimen is 4.6" long and centered on a rectangularly cut piece of matrix.
