Detailed 1.7" Kayserops Trilobite - Issoumour
This is a fine specimen of an undescribed Kayserops trilobite collected at Issoumour, Morocco. The new layer it was collected from lies between the Psychopyge and Metacanthina layers that have been collected for decades. It is different than the common Metacanthina which has often been referred to as a Kayserops or Asteropyge.
The trilobite itself is slightly arched and 1.7" long. It has beautiful eye detail, the shell is covered in many tiny bumps or pustules. There is no significant restoration to the specimen.
