Asaphus Lepidurus Trilobite In Climbing Position

This is a trilobite of the species Asaphus lepidurus from the St. Petersburg region of Russia. It is preserved in an arched over "climbing" position which is fairly common in this species and similar trilobites. This position might indicated that this trilobite tended to bury it's back half in the mud with just it's head poking out. There is a repaired/restored crack along the left hand side of the trilobite.
