.9" Fossil Pea Crab (Pinnixa) From California - Miocene
This is an 8 million year old fossil "pea crab", Pinnixa galliheri from the Monterey Formation of California. Some of the detail remains on this fossil, however it doesn't have the typical orange color from iron oxidation that most of these fossil crabs display.
