.65" Fossil Flower (Astronium) with Visible Stamen- Utah
This is a beautifully preserved .65" wide fossil flower (Astronium sp.) with a visible stamen, collected from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.
Comes with an acrylic display stand.
Astronium flowers are from the cashew and sumac family, Anacardiaceae.
