This is a 6.9" wide mortality plate featuring several dozen detailed crane flies (family Tipulidae) and three well-preserved weevils (family Curculionidae), collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant fossils and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
