This is a .29" long fossil cranefly (Tipulidae) from the Green River Formation deposits of Rio Blanco County, Colorado. The plate also contains a partial fossil insect of a different fly family.
While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
