6.8" Fossil Plant Plate - France
This is a 6.8" plate containing fossils of Daphnogene (Cinnamomum) lanceolatum (longest 2.8") and a samara (fruit) of the genus Engelhartia, collected from the Oligocene-aged deposits of Bois d'Asson, France. The light-brown preservation contrasts nicely against rock. This is part of an old collection that we recently acquired.
