.25" Fossil Beetle (Carabidae?) - Bois d’Asson, France

This is a partial fossil beetle (order Coleoptera, family Caribidae?) collected from the Oligocene-aged deposits of Bois d'Asson, France. The light-brown preservation contrasts nicely against rock. This is part of an old collection that we recently acquired.
